Posters Clusters

Similar to special oral sessions, there is the opportunity to organize groups of posters on a particular topic and to have those posters grouped together. Poster clusters require a chairperson to organize the cluster and to prepare an overview poster that synthesizes information from the individual posters to provide larger-scale conclusions or applications of results. The posters should be well-integrated and complementary as a cluster. Including a diversity of perspectives is encouraged. Proposals for poster clusters must be submitted by the abstract submission deadline of June 3, 2016.

The following items must be submitted for a poster cluster:

  • Poster Cluster Proposal Form: The Special Session Chair/Organizer must submit a poster cluster proposal form. Proposals require a cluster title, the name of the cluster organizer, a paragraph (<200 words) describing the content and focus of the cluster including the relevance of this topic to Bay-Delta management, as well as a list of poster titles and authors.
Poster Cluster Proposal Form: You will need to create an account.  If you have submitted an abstract for a previous Bay-Delta Science Conference or State of the Estuary Conference, you might already have an account set up.
Submission Deadline is June 7, 2016.
  • Individual Poster Abstract Forms: Each proposed poster in the poster cluster, including the overview poster, must have an abstract submitted through the regular abstract submission process, (the applicant should indicate that this is a special session submission on the abstract submittal form).
Abstract Submission Site:  You will need to create an account.  If you have submitted an abstract for a previous Bay-Delta Science Conference or State of the Estuary Conference, you might already have an account set up.
Submission Deadline is June 7, 2016.

The poster session will be a very important part of the Science Conference. Posters will be displayed throughout the conference, and will be featured during social sessions on the evenings of the 1st and 2nd days of the conference to encourage open discussion between the presenters and conference attendees.

Questions on posters or poster clusters should be directed to the Poster Co-Chairs: Meiling Roddam (Meiling.Roddam@Waterboards.ca.gov) and Isa Woo (iwoo@usgs.gov).
